A friend texted me 7 pictures. I saved them which put them in my photos folder. I renamed the pictures, created a folder in Albums and moved them into it. I can view the pictures in the folder but when I view by date but there's duplicate images. I can view the ones which are in the Album folder but can't view the other ones. When I try to delete them I get the message "Delete failed. The item(s) could not be deleted."

Image properties lists size as 0 bytes. If I plug my phone into my computer, I can't locate the pictures I want to delete.

Anyone know how I can delete these?

Tried resetting your phone? I've noticed some oddities with the Pictures app go away on mine after a reboot.

It'd make better sense if he was actually trying to save them versus delete ghost copies.

I had this too. I put the pictures back I to the location where the photo app is showing them (exact folder and everything) then I rebooted, then I deleted and it worked.

Thank you, that was driving me nuts. I think renaming them in one folder then moving them to another caused the problem. I went back and gave them with their original file name and that solved the problem.

Same happened to me except the reboot didn't work. I had to put the card into my computer and delete the folder that was holding the three images.
