Not just Chromecast, but with other things too I have issues with my iplayer it seems to make a difference if I download the content first as opposed to streaming a channel live, or streaming an on demand show without downloading it to my device first. Have you tried downloading the program to your device and THEN casting it?

Netflix has written it's own interface to Chromecast so it works for us, but most other apps rely on Google Services to interact with the device, so currently bb10 can't use them.
