I was thinking of picking up a BB Q5 and using the wifi hotspot to connect my Android tablet and surf on it.

I currently use mightytext on my Samsung Galaxy S4 or google hangouts and all my sms messages make it to the tablet so I don't have to keep the phone AND tablet with me.

Is there some software that I can use that will send SMS messages from the Q5 to an Android tablet? I know I can use Whatsapp but that is not SMS and I have people who send me SMS messages (i.e. they don't have data plans).

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

    Thanks

If I'm understanding what you want to do, is signing up for a Google Voice number not an option? Then you can send traditional text messages from your Q5 and open them on the tablet in Google Voice, reply through GV and open them on your Q5 like any other text message.
