    Hi Guys

While browsing the internet in need of some documentation about the Google vending API I found an interesting app for our Blackberry's. APK Downloader is an alternative Google Play store that allows to download Android Apps directly from Google Play. And the best part is, that the app is available in APK format, it's installed in seconds, no sideloading required!

The app has the following features:
    - Download apps from Google Play
    - Use own GSF ID to identify the device
    - Fully configurable SIM country, SIM operator, country code and language code
    - No need to sideload!

All credits go to the developer NGUYEN KHANH BINH (who I am not )

Please note that it can only download free apps. Paid apps are not available.

The app is available on Google Play on this link:
    APK Downloader on Google Play

As an alternative, you can download it from my dropbox (patched, ads-free)
    APK Downloader-18

I will look deeper into the app to find out if it does something malicous. Edit: no malicious code found.

    Installation instructions:
The app requires a valid GSF-ID. This ID can be aquired from Snap. Enter the GSF-ID in the format 11AA22BB33CC44DD. Please note that letters must be capitalized. Verify your country and language settings in options to make sure that you have access to all desired apps.

    Happy downloading!

Before I test it, did you happen to test whether it allows you to buy apps?

Doesn't work. Always says the download folder is wrong, no matter what I put there.

Searching works. My path is the same, but it says I need to choose external SD card. So it set it to /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/downloads but still says the same. I also tried Download instead of downloads after external, but it won't download anything.

Updated the first post with a patched ads-free version. I HATE ads. Better implement a donate button....

Hey Cobalt, sorry to bother with this kind of stuff, but I don't completely get the GSF-ID part.
My situation at this point is, couple of weeks ago y installed 10.3.0.1052 os. And since then, when I managed to put snap back on my device, whenever I tried to log in, it stays in a forever long "logging in, please wait". Therefore, if I need to get something from snap to get this store to work, I wouldn't know how to do it, since I'm not able to access snap.

    Thanks in advance.

Trouble is, you need to know an app name, and search it in order for it to display anything. I much prefer Snap.

Cobalt is there anyway to enable proxy for android apps ie runtime. In my college, wifi usage is limited when using without proxy.

In 10.3 you can find the vpn settings in the Android settings app. Run Ghost Commander, go to apps, find settings app and run it. Then it's under network. Never tried though.

Just open Snap, slide down options from top and go to settings. Did snap generate a GSF key?
