Hi,

I am having this odd problem that I start the camera very often when I press the off button.

I noticed that my hand just touch the icon so it's me starting it.

Any trick to avoid this e.g. by having the icon react only after a few seconds?

No trick, no can do, at this time.
Been mentioned before, (I do this also, so you're not alone). Hopefully, with an OS update coming/pending, they may fix this so we can toggle the lower touch bar on/off.

It seems to be fixed in 10.3. The very edge of the screen used to activate the phone or camera, making it easy to activate it with your palm. In 10.3 it appears to require a more direct tap on the center of the icon.

They should remove it from the screen, period. It's a issue with me as well and I just want it gone.

There is an app for it so why not?

Sometimes I pressed it by accident too. But it's good it's there. It's a faster way to access your camera.

That's why it could/should be set up to be toggled on/off per user needs....
"simple" code tweak.........as in more simple than making it configurable, movable, just toggle it on/off....

Go to parental controls and you can shut off the camera icon to avoid the issue!

I seam to press the video/voice in BBM when have open chat. Anyone else dial someone by accident through BBM?

It's a BlackBerry Z30 on Big Red
