    I have heard charging half is not good for a battery...but I have also heard charging in bits isnt a problem for the new smartphones...can anyone clarify me the best way to charge?

    With the new batteries you can charge anytime , they don't have a memory like the older ones.

    I've been plugging my BlackBerry phones in, overnight, for years without any issues. Usually with bedside mode enabled but not always.
    I'll plug it in whether the battery has 5% or 95%. It doesn't matter.
    I did this with my 7250, 8830, Torch9800, Z10 and current Z30.
    Plug it in and don't worry about it.

    Then when bulging of battery happens?? I heard its a result of overcharging !!!
    Sorry to ask...I never knew what is the purpose of bedside mode?

    Can't overcharge. Stops charging automatically when fully charged and then starts and stops as needed. Welcome to the 21st century.
