    Been trying to backup over Blackberry Link using Link 10.2.3.56 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

    Phone OS is 10.2.1.3247- This is the error message that appears EVERY time. Tried two different computers, I've added the apps that I have on the phone as well, the only one missing is Snap2Chat by Nemory Studios... not sure what to do at all.. Pleasee help! Trying to get Blackberry 10.3 on the phone.

    There is something odd here, I just checked my BB Link, which AFAIK is up to date and the version 1.2.3.48, so a BB Link version starting with 10. doesn't make sense. Maybe just a typo.

    First thing I would suggest is to uninstall and reinstall Link. Second thing is try a different patch cord between the PC and the phone (also make sure it is a direct connection and not through a hub).

    Apologies, it is 1, not 10.

    The most up to date version is what I have, see attached.

    Will try a new patch... Already tried a new computer but it's worth a shot.

    Just out of curiosity, do both of your computers have an auto-sleep mode set on? Since backups usually take so long, most people walk away from their computer instead of waiting. If your computers are set to sleep after, say 5-10 minutes, of no user input, maybe the sleep mode is causing the backup fails? It happened to me, not for a backup, but a device switch. The backup part went fine, since I was watching it, but the restore to the new phone failed because my computer went to sleep and halted the restore. When Link came back, it indicated that the restore had failed instead of giving me an opportunity to resume.

    Nope, auto sleep is off. They also don't take that look for this message to appear. The backup does not start at all. There's a message that appears for 2 minutes "Computing dataa for backup" then the error regarding device on/plugged in appears.. very lost. Trying to backup to get 10.3 on the phone.

    Have you tried looking at Settings->Storage and Access->USB Connection and trying Connect to Windows instead of Autodetect (or vice versa)? Maybe one is more stable than the other for the USB to stay connected?
