So as the title says I have a stl100-3 that is for att and I was wondering if I could transform in via software to an unlocked stl100-3.

Mainly I want to do this to have to ability to turn lte off that is it.

You have a branded at&t phone and you want to unlock it?: sure, but I believe so long as you are running an at&t SIM (even unlocked) you will not have the ability to change those network settings.

scrannel is correct. My phone is unlocked but using ATT sim. Those settings are not available.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure if I could install the os from the unlocked version of the phone or not.

Thanks again maybe in 10.3.1 att will allow lte to be turned off. So stupid that you can't turn off lte.

There isn't an OS that is "unlocked"
You unlock the phone via purchasing and typing in a code
Having seen what others have suggested, I wonder whether it's possible to disable LTE through escreen?
My phone always had the option to disable, so I can't test it.
You can access escreen via typing escreen:/// (yes 3 '/') in the browser. However, if you aren't tech savvy, I wouldn't mess with it

I have tried to get in to the full escreen but couldn't and with what you said to type only opened the same thing escreen://

If you do get to the escreen CAUTION is advised. Last week or so, someone killed their phone by tampering and not being able to figure out what they changed to fix it.
