    Look at the Z3 strategy! Cheap, limited stocks (to avoid the Playbook disaster).

    People want tablets. With the Amazon App Store it might work. We do not have 2011 anymore. Nowadays you can built a tablet on a "Z3"-basis with no to small risks.

    I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.4 S. It's an amazing tablet with the best screen on the market.

    If there was a high end BlackBerry Tablet like that out I would have looked but I can't wait and my Playbook is so slow and the apps aren't coming anymore.

    Tablet is more than just about screen though, there are some cases where you just need a second screen, and I think BlackBerry were spot on with a tablet that compliments the phone and with a touch sensitive border, making an updated playbook is a must! Just a matter of time

    People definitely want tablets. It remains to be seen if they want a BlackBerry tablet.

    My opinion is that they can't afford to have their hands in too many pies right now. They need to focus on a smaller product group and make that profitable and then expand into other areas.

    How did BlackBerry get burned? Customers did due to BlackBerry releasing half assed software and not following through with their publicly stated plans for the device. BlackBerry write down was a result of those issues. Had they delivered Bb10 to the PlayBook even if they had cut out the hub to make it work to with 1 GB of RAM, then it is likely BlackBerry could have seen a lit more BB10 phone sales as there would be many more BB10 devices out there for developers to support and for PlayBook owners to see how great BB10 is and want a phone with it.
