    Hello,
Ive created a new email profile on our BES10 server with unlimited emails enabled.
After deploying the policy to my Q10, it takes up to 1min unlocking the work space email account.

With the 30days email profile on all other devices we dont see this issue.

    Setup
    Q10 10.2.2.932
    BES 10.2.1.19
    Exchange 2013

Enabling "no limit" in the active sync email profile of my iphone works without a problem.

    Any idea?

    hi,
with 10.3 installed on my Q10 it works better but it still lags when browsing through the mails or when switching between the work (balance) and text messages inbox. Set it back to 30 days until there is any real solution.
Also tried a regular exchange account but still the same problem.

Well, it's this that's the problem really isn't it. Allowing near unlimited e-mails to be stored on the device is the problem, the volume of items just can't be handled successfully.

I've had many problem over the years when I've joined a company and they've allowed too much data on their devices, unlimited e-mails / data retention that consumed all the devices memory and caused it to regularly crash or run like it's in treacle.

I think if you continue this policy then you're pretty much going to always have issues like this, use the BlackBerry / smart phone for no more than 30 days of e-mail, everything else the user should be using the right tool for the job (which is Outlook or OWA etc.).

Really wish BlackBerry would or could implement the old setting from BBOS of 60 days and 90 days worth of email but I would think it's because ActiveSync is 30 days or everything at the top end.

    So it's Microsoft's fault.

    Thanks for your reply.
Honestly, i dont think that this an exchange problem as Apples active sync implementation doesnt have this issue.

Apple's implementation also doesn't containerise work data securely away from personal data and personal apps.

There are clearly inefficiencies in the message database design of the Hub in BB10 when dealing with large amounts of messages. You don't have to look far on CB forums to find people with large amounts of text messages suffering the same kind of lag issues.

But that doesn't surprise me. The best programmers go to Apple, Google and Microsoft. BlackBerry is a good programmer's 4th choice at best.
