I just ordered my Z30 from the shopblackberry.com
    BlackBerry Black Z30 - ShopBlackBerry.com

I will be using it in my Rogers network, but I just want to make sure that the STA100-5 works in my network, although I feel that I should have done this research before hand.

    Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks

Yes. That's the model I have and it works great on the Rogers Network.

I also read that the STA100-2 works on the Rogers network.

What I want to know is, if multiple versions of the phone on the same network, is there any difference in the network performance between those two versions?

It's mainly the frequencies that are different between the models. You need to see what the frequencies the phone has and compare to the network. I had the European model of the Z10 and it worked on the Rogers Network. The only issue was it couldn't run on normal LTE, but it worked great in their high speed LTE. So that all depended on coverage as to my performance.

The STA100-2 can only operate on Band 7 LTE (2600 MHz) with Rogers; the STA100-5 can operate on both Band 4 and Band 7.

So if there's a place where Rogers only has its old LTE network with good coverage, the STA100-5 is better there for LTE speeds. Otherwise, there shouldn't be other differences.

(The STA100-5 works on Wind and Mobilicity and the STA100-2 won't. But that's something else entirely.)

STA100-5 is the model you want. I got the same one in Rogers.
