Yeah, the switch to 2 year plans is "to blame". BUT, if you're a current Telus contract holder, call customer service and ask to be put through to the Loyalty dept. They have access to a number of unofficial plans that can be substantially better than the off the shelf plans. Those plans tend to have better data options in particular.

Personally, I've been keeping my existing plan and buying my devices off contract. It works out to the same or better in the long run.

I am with WIND MOBILE, 40 dollars plan..unlimited data..i'm happy (average I use 2gb per month)

It's not LTE but it's alright..i'm happy with 4G




I agree with other people on here..I'd rather buy an unlocked phone and get the ability to choose what carrier I want..which is what I did.
