Does anyone know if it's possible to change the thumbnail screen on the picture app so that it won't show recent photos, or by date? I have photos stored in client folders, but i don't want them showing up when general browsing. Can I shut these features off?

Sorry, but there's no settings to control what thumbnails show in the pictures app. You can access the pictures in the File Manager, and set the view to list insteat of tiles. That may help.

You can also hide photos (or other media like ringtones or ebooks from the music app) in specific folders if you create a zero byte file in that folder called

.nomedia

And, yes, there is a dot or period at the front of nomedia.

Now, you might have to go to special lengths to then actually view those photos since I have not checked how universally effective it is but it does prevent the general scan.

There are also 3rd party apps that can hide files or folders.
