Check if you have lots of Android background processes running. I use the "taskmanager" app.

Except I'm pretty sure that's not why her battery is bad. Something is draining it like crazy. Until we see what is going on with device manager it's not sufficient information.

It's highly unlikely your Z30 battery has already lost so much capacity. As others have pointed out,.. it's likely that you have some android process misbehaving.

I once inadvertently swiped out of Amazon App store while it was downloading and installing an app. For the next day or so my battery was terrible, and Android apps would take minutes to open. Eventually, out of nowhere the Amazon App store popped up and made me go through the botched installation process again. After that, a bunch of Android apps I had tried to open and failed all through out the day all started opening by themselves... but once the system passed that "hairball", everything seemed to run like normal again, including the long lasting battery.

As others mentioned, get an android task manager app. I use ES Task Manager.

Am running os 10.2.1.2234 carrier is MTN. Even without network. Or applications when the phone is newly wiped, just music does not last a whole day, it can only go for like 12hrs without network. Just music. I've downloaded the es task manager it's not solving the problem. Really I need to know if it will be okay to get a replacement battery or the device itself is bad. Please where do I attach a picture so i'll show what am talking about in ma device monitor and the es task man. Thanks everyone. Much love

10.2.1.2234 is 5 months old. Why not try 10.3?
10.3.0.296 works well with the 441 radio file

Even if u want to stay on 10.2....you should go to 10.2.2

So after you take the screenshot of the battery usage. Click reply and hold spacebar. You'll see the attach file button to show us the screenshot

Aborted downloads do seem to cause chaos. I couldn't find any way of stopping it ring to complete, even with reboots. Like you, eventually it got me to do it again.

All these good responses, but why hasn't anyone said that the Z30 battery is not removable. Well, technically it can be done, I suppose, but.......

It can be removed but it's irrelevant to this problem because the issue will come back since it's not the source of the drain.

I understand that but apparently the OP doesn't, hence the thread title. Might have been mentioned earlier so the OP would understand that it is not really an option of all else fails. Of course if the OP is into phone tear down and technical issues, then, carry on.

I just received my Z30 and set everything up. Right now my battery is showing that it will last 7 hours.

However it shows under device manager that I have 98% on the battery but on the home screen the icon show 100%. I've never seen that be different on Z10.

    Thoughts?
