What's the "best one". I want to be able to plug in a micro SD card into it. How does this work?

Basically all you need is a pig tail that has a micro USB plug, to go into the Z30 USB socket, on one end and a regular USB female socket on the other end, like:

You can then plug in just about any USB device and the Z30 will handle it.
A USB thumb drive or card reader will require the memory to not be formatted in NTFS to be readable.

If you need more devices to be plugged into the Z30, you can plug a powered USB hub to the pigtail and start stacking.
It doesn't technically need to be a powered hub, but one that is powered takes the load off the Z30 and lets you use devices that need some extra juice, like external USB hard drives and such.

You can also use the Z30 + USB pigtail to charge other phones or devices if your Z30 is at full but your other device is very low, in a pinch.

Now here is the fun question. I use the otg USB for using external drives, keyboard & mouse, game pads for emulation and what but there is one problem with all of that.

No matter what, you cannot charge your phone at the same time. I know the battery is like a tank for the z30 but is there a way to charge while using the USB otg?

I believe you can use a splitter "Y" cable. I did read about it a while back in this forum. Try a search.
