Okay I was surfing tumblr and a few times it redirected me to something called badoink and before I knew it there were redirects to porn. How embarrassing!

How to turn off the redirects? I cleared my history and cache, did a restart too but to no avail.

How embarrasing. Surfing Tumblr! What were you thinking?! :-p

I don't use Tumblr myself, but a bit of searching revealed you are not the first.

I've never, ever had any issue like this browsing on any site on any BlackBerry 10 device. So that's just plain weird.

In my browser, I have popups blocked within the privacy security section of the browser settings. Is yours set to block popups too?

yes. I got it to block pop ups. Upon further examination, it might be something called plugrush that's doing it. I might have to do a security wipe and start over again, especially since I think I did my last backup this redirect thing was happening.

lol that happens quite often to me even though i have the option set to block all pop ups. I believe you have set the browser to open last visited pages upon reopening of the app. So turn off mobile data and go turn that option off for now. you can rather set it to load a particular homepage or your tabs. That should fix your issue

This happen to my girlfriend last night. She wasn't surfing tumblr though. Just a simple Google search, and the first link she clicked on got redirected to porn as well.

I closed out, reopened the browser to google.com which loaded fine, did a random Google search, clicked a random result, started loading then redirected to porn again.

So then I swiped up and did a long press on the x, reopened the browser and the problem went away.

First time having any malware issue on my phone in my life, been using blackberries since 2003.

Sorry to bother you buddy and to post here. I've been trying to reply to the private message but I don't think it's going through.

I was interested in getting the name, address and number to that shop in New York that can make those changes to the Q10 we talked about.

    Thanks
    Rick

The problem is not the blackberry device. Most probably you are surfing while connected via wifi. It that is the case, your router or ADSL/Cable modem has been compromised.

Take a look at this link
    http://www.tp-link.us/article/?id=10706

It is an exploit that changes DNS servers in your router. From there the attacker can control what page to redirect you to.

If your router or modem is controlled by your ISP, call them and tell them that their routers/modems have been hacked and send them the link.

I don't think my router or ISP has been hacked because I still have the problem when I turn off wifi and using the internet on 4G. Of course, I suppose my ISP and phone carrier's network could both be hacked.

I think there are some mobile websites that have been hacked.

Can you take screen shots (well, as far as you can with the NSFW redirect ) so people will take you seriously? If you really are hacked through the normal browser that is a pretty big deal.

I think I figured it out. When I was on tumblr, there was a tumblr page with a picture that came from another tumblr page. When the redirect happened, the address read plugdash.com/ with the name of the tumblr page where the picture came from. Therefore I haven't been hacked but the website has.

When you switch to 4G the DNS server address of your latest pages remains intact. So they will still redirect to the porn sites, unless your restart your device.

I see from another of your answers that you found out what the problem was. Great news!

I had this same problem 2 days ago on my Z10. Was using Google to search for pet food and was redirected to porn. I cleared history and cache and problem went away. This was on 4G LTE too, not wifi.

Your routers are hacked and hence forcing a specific DNS to resolve host addresses.

They exploited a vulnerability of the router.

Talk to your ISP. Send them the link I posted In this topic.

if the router is not from your ISP let me know what brand is and I'll try to see if there is a fix for that specific brand.

Today I discover that huwaei routers were also targeted.

Check what are your DNS. In your computer, that is showing the same weird behavior, run ipconfig /all

    Here how to do it
    http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...nd-655357.html

And check the DNS IP address is. List them here and list your ISP name. We can double check if the DNS addresses are the ones belonging to your ISP (most of the ISP DNS addresses are easy to find in the internet).

That way we can confirm my theory about your router being hacked and forcing specific DNS different than the ones from your ISP. With that confirm you can send full proof of the above said to your ISP for them to act and fix the vulnerability.

Go to settings in the browser, then Privacy and Security and last but not least, tap the "Clear Cookies and Other Data" at the bottom.

But if you have issue with redirects, try to connect to another internet service. I suspect you use Wi-Fi at home with DNS spoof in your router

Same story with all my devices except my laptops: one running Ubuntu, another OSX. How come all the phones and tablets are affected by the redirect spree and laptops not???
Btw. My Internet provider did not come up with any better solution than to reset my router. Now I am not redirected from following a link on facebook, Web browser or rss feed app, for example, but twitter kept bugging me. Had to reinstall it.
