So I do have two batteries for my Q10, one of them hardly gets me through the day and usually gets quite hot as well while the other one seems to last at least 50% longer. The second one is original from BlackBerry as well and I bought it with this charger module. To be honest I have no clue if the "good one" came with the phone or is the backup.

Anybody else experiencing a similar situation? However, it is worth mentioning that even the 'bad' battery lasts longer than any of my Android devices, apart from maybe my Note 3.

That's funny because I also have the Note 3. The battery life is unbelievable on that thing.

Anyway, where did you purchase your second battery? Was it used?

Q10 has 2 different battery... one is 1800mAh and the other one is 2100mAh... they each have a different model on it... I'd look into that first. Then if problem is not fixed I'd look into a replacement

I will check when I am back home what exactly the battery labels say (travelling with my Z30 atm).

I bought both the phone and the battery from Amazon.

I have 5 batteries that I use in rotation and I haven't noticed any differences to the extent you describe. I'm always careful to spread my usage around pretty evenly and store them charged but otherwise I don't pay them much mind. Any battery drain issues I've had have been app related.

I didn't think an 1800 was available for the Q10. . . thought that was just the Z10's battery.

I didn't know there was a smaller battery, that could be the reason for the battery drain ladies and gents. I'd like to buy two more batteries but just afraid of the performance no matter the mAh value

Yeah the dev alpha C battery... NS1 instead of NX1 which comes with the Q10... 1/4 inch smaller and 1800mAh instead of 2100

I have a pre-production Q10 with a dev alpha C battery and 1GB of RAM... only two different things I think

There is only one battery available to the public. BlackBerry doesn't sell pre-production stuff, including batteries. LMAO. The publicly available battery for the Q10 is 2100mAh and that's it. I have 3 of them.

Still, op has to be careful if he buys from amazon like he did for his previous battery...

My battery was with the charging bundle, I therefore assume it is an original BlackBerry.
