Has anyone replaced a Z30 battery? If so where did you get it and was it just the battery or the whole back frame?

Check out YouTube. There's a good teardown that will give you all the information you need.

Yeah. It takes a bit of prying to get the battery out and its soft so you have to be carfull. Can't find where to get an oem replacement that isn't part of a decommissioned device though

Think perhaps we are being a bit "Prem" here. (pun intended). The battery is going to last a bloody long time, so why worry until 2 to 3 years up? Mines on contract anyway so Voda can sort it should there be a problem.

Yeah. Not sure what was going on on YouTube but the frame and battery I bought on ebay (they are not new, they are factory rejects) had the battery firmly glued to the back frame. My phone battery is firmly glued as well and won't come out without damaging prying.

The best part is I called BlackBerry to see if I could get a replacement battery from somewhere and they don't know.

Really kind of pissed about this as the battery in my phone now dies at 50 percent and is beginning to swell. Soon I will be screwed.

I, personally, would happily sacrifice a little battery capacity for a removable battery.
