I can't take this 4s anymore so I got a q10 for cheap to hold me over until the i6 or Passport. I am not gonna lie, I am NERVOUS. I haven't had a BB since 08.

What are some pointers? And can someone school me on side loading?

And any info on porting over contacts from good and icloud would be helpful as well.

U sideload an app called snap, if you want to use the Google store. Then u don't have to sideload anything else, u can install them directly from Google play

But if u are okay with the amazon android store, u can just download that directly without side loading anything

I only use Google maps. Everything else I want is in blackberry world

No google store for BB that's why some use snap. There is Amazon and there are 2 further possibilities: use a chome installer (like sideloading) or an .apk dowloader:

In this page, you paste the URL of the App in Google Chrome and then download the apk. The installation is then done directly and manually from your download folder, which I use preferably, coz it is like installing programs/setups on my PC.
You only have to switch/toggle "trust 3rd party Apps" on.
Not every Android App works well for BB10 and there are less for Q10...
Try and report... This is how we do it on crackberry. When someone discovers that an App works or not, he posts it here.

Q10 is a great phone. If you like a physical keyboard then you're going to be very happy. Great build quality and premium feel compared to the Q5 and the has better battery life than the Z10.

You should be happy with the Q - my wife went from a 4S to the Q a few months ago and she loves the keyboard and battery life. It's also allowed me to play with it enough to settle on getting a Classic when it comes available! My Z10 has been great, but I do miss those keys.
