If I press and hold my volume up and down for a power reset on my Z30, the notification light flashes red, blue and green. Then a box comes up asking me my BlackBerry email. Does this mean this phone is from a BlackBerry employee? I bought it used.

And my notification light flashes red, blue and green really fast for a few minutes. The window in the pick will stay there until I close it. In my Z10, holding the up and down volume keys did a power reset.

Just a guess but probably means the phone is set to require a specific password before a reboot. You can probably shut it off in settings. Now the question is whether or not Blackberry email is referring to BBID email you use or an actual BlackBerry email account.

Sent from my...go ahead and guess?

I tried my BlackBerry email, and it didn't work. You can't see it in the pic, but after you submit your email, I can see writing about log reports and questions in the back ground asking things like UI lag, frequency, what didn't work, steps to reproduce,...... As for turning off, I just press and hold the top button and do it that way.
