I've had my Z10 for a while now, and been contemplating on getting a Z30 which is not offered by T-Mobile USA. I'm not too tech savvy to know if I can just buy an unlocked Z30 from the Blackberry website and just bring it to a T-mobile to get activated.

Anyone has tried this? Does it work?

I have. And it does.
You want a STA100-5 model. And check around eBay or other places if money is a factor.

You don't even have to bring your phone to T-Mobile. Just pull the SIM from your Z10 and pop it in your Z30. It will work, you don't even need to tell them.
