Maybe. Up until recently Wind and Blackberry had a good relationship.

    Not exactly sure what happened.

Wind did carry the Z10, Q10 and Q5. I suspect they passed on the passport because they didn't get amazing BB10 sales (no carrier did) and a premium priced device that may not dell is really not in line with their view for the company.

There is also their heavy focus on Android.

I think that being the first new BB10 device in a while, they may pick it up, but will be much more careful about how they distribute it. If they choose not to distribute it, it might be for the same issue as the Z30. A premium low selling business device just isn't a good idea for them.

They may also pick up the classic. If it's a bit cheaper, and because some of their customers may be interested. Along with a lower price tag.

Wind targets the price sensitive - something passport Isn't for.

I expect z3 lte would make it to wind though (because it's a budget device - or rumored to be)

Wind targets the price sensitive, yes.

But they also carry the Note, the S5 and the M8.

It's possible they might not carry the Passport not because it's not price sensitive, but because it's a Blackberry.

They'll only sell it if people are lining up for them at Rogers, Telus, and Bell stores

The selling price of the phone has little to do with what the OEM charges the carrier for the phone.... blackberry is targeting wealthy business users which has led me to believe this will be expensive for both carriers and consumers (also that blackberry sells on low scale - doesn't benefit from economies of scale)

I forgot to also say that wind targets price sensitive consumers and NOT enterprise.

Rogers bell.and Telus have options for small and large business and good package deals wind doesn't.

I doubt wind will carry the device as it doesn't support the structures to sell this device to who blackberry and intended it for (and bad overall BlackBerry sales)

From what I'm hearing there's been no decision as of yet. They are planning on testing the Passport but it really comes down to price, the same reason why they passed on the Z30, so I would imagine it'll be another pass. The Classic is the same story, they really would like to carry it but it must be priced at a more attractive price point than the Q10 originally was. We'll see what happens, after all my years in dealing with them I don't think anything would surprise me as to what they end up doing.

I think the future of BlackBerry in Canada is buying unlocked through Shop BlackBerry to be honest.

Rumored pricing I've been hearing is:

    Passport - $600-650 US
    Classic - $369-400 US

If the rumors are true then I think they are in line with expectations. The Passport will become BlackBerry's new flagship phone, and the Classic (with basically Z10 specs) will thankfully be priced lower than the Q10 was when it was released. I can't see Wind biting on the Passport but I can see them carrying the Classic. Hopefully they carry something!
