    Hey,

Has anyone download the new Bell Fibreop Remote app and got it working on their Z30 or any other BB10 device?

The issue I'm having is that it doesn't find my receivers.

    Anyone else?

It works perfectly fine for me. Are you at home where the Fibe receiver is and is your phone's Wi-Fi on?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were on Bell Aliant. Hopefully someone else can help.

My wife's Galaxy S3 works fine but when using my Z10 I get an error that the app can't find any receivers. Tried restarting my phone, turning WiFi off and on but still doesn't work.

Same thing here on my Z10. I used SNAP to download the Bell Aliant Fibreop remote app from Google Play and although the app installed just fine, it refuses to find my receiver. My Z10 is connected via Wifi to my Bell Aliant router, my receiver is turned on and my TV is turned on, but when the app starts up, it tries but fails to find any receiver. Come on Bell Aliant, either make a BB 10 native version or fix the Android version to work with BB10.

I'm also having the same problem with my Z10 and Bell Aliant. It doesn't see the receiver. I'm just hoping that 10.3 resolves the issue

The issue is that the app uses multicast to discover the STB, and multicast sockets aren't supported by the Blackberry Android runtime.

Well that just sucks now doesn't it. Ah well. Here's hoping a future version does work. I need something like this so I can get the kids attention when they are watching TV.

Send a tweet to @Bell_Aliant asking for a bb10 version. I sent a tweet and they responded with that they would send request to the future development team.

Maybe if enough people request it, it may be given a higher priority??

    Worth a try

I use the remote app on Fibe in Toronto. Never got it to find my main pvr, but I had no trouble connecting with my secondary receiver. Found and paired no problem. It works great. It might have something to do with the main receiver being wired directly to the modem/router.

    Edit: using Z30 on 10.2.1.2977
