Well like the title say I'm changing my black Q10 bezel to silver in the near future. But have zero to no knowledge in doing it. I was wondering if any CB using out there had any better luck in doing so. Any help would be appreciated. No d***head plz lol.

If you google "Q10 teardown" you should find many videos showing dismantling and reassembly.

I've completely tore down my Q to replace the keyboard. I am now looking into converting the stock black bezel to the one that comes on the white Q10.

Tear down and repair was quite easy as long as you have the correct tools. They make all the difference.

Edit: grabbed the wrong video. This one shows you own to replace the keyboard. It is still usable though. Follow it and after he gets the keyboard out all you have to do is bend the bezel out slightly for the screen and pop screen out the reassemble parts in new bezel.

Changing the bezel on my Q10..HELP!-imag1314.jpg

You just have to be VERY careful with the flex/ribbon cables. Also, be very careful with the Mic area, there's a small foam square glued to the Bezel that you also need to switch to the silver bezel.

Other than that, it was pretty straight forward. Loving my " Dog Vision" Q10.

The videos always show you can just pop the keyboard out with your hands. Maybe sometimes you can, but I've found that you have to push on the keyboard quite a bit for that to happen, and you may or may not damage it that way. I recommend using a really small flat-head screwdriver and just gently pry on the clips holding the keyboard in place and it should pop right out without putting any pressure on the keyboard. I also recommend removing the headphone jack to make removing the screen that much simpler.

I see absolutely no reason to remove the headphone jack from the main display. I had zero issues removing the screen from the bezel.

For the keyboard removal all I did was apply mild pressure after removing two Phillips screws that are holding down the keypad and it came out without issue.

It's two screws and the screen literally falls out with no need to slide it down and same for the installation. And like I've said about the keyboard, they vary. Some pop right out, som take quite a bit of pressure and may result in quite a bit of bending. You might get lucky and have one that pops right out or you won't. I just don't waste my time testing it first and simply use a screwdriver to gently pry on the holding clips. But whatever you say. I've only done like a dozen of these or so. I'm such a n00b.

*shrug* don't worry, you or anyone else can say whatever. It takes a lot to "insult" me. I know what I know, so...
