So, I had a job interview last week that included a 15 minute presentation. I thought, "I could go PowerPoint, or I could keep the slides brief, poignant, poppy, and keep the attention on me and my speaking skills."

I did the presentation using BlackBerry Express - nailed it. My current employer said that the interview panel was really impressed with my presentation in particular.

New job starts in two weeks! I'll be doing a lot of presentations in the new position. Good thing I'll still be rocking my Z30 and BlackBerry Express

That's awesome. The reasons for choosing express does indeed make sense. Less available features means rather than making a presentation with silly animations intended to distract, you made something basic, to the point and frankly something that gave you attention rather than take it away.

I'll be using it for my school presentations next time I have to make one

Do most business environments these days support Miracast? Did you know the setup/compatibility before going in?

    Curious,

Don't have to use miracast. Could just use HDMI

Congratulations! I hope that making presentations with BlackBerry Express will be easier once you can use it tablets or PCs via BlackBerry Blend.

Makes me look forward to using my Blackberry this fall when my classes start up. I knew I was making the right choice with choosing a Blackberry device! |^_^|

Can I ask something? How do you project it? Using cable or miracast?

Not a schoolbug? It's okay a lot of people don't look forward to it.. but at least there's something to value in getting your education that no one can ever take from you.

Lol I know the feeling. We will make it all worth it in the end and time would be passing regardless of what we choose to do with it, that's what counts lol

    Congrats!

I also did use BBExpress on my Thesis presentation last semester and panelists were really impressed and one of them asked me what app did I use then I suddenly noticed his Samsung Note while he was speaking and I said "I used BlackBerry Express only for BlackBerry" then I winked at him lol!

HDMI cable. Set it to "Play On" the projector, allows you to switch slides using volume rocker while looking at presentation notes in Remember or Docs to Go

I loved Express. Did an entire presentation in it (although it was a bit limited for scientific purposes, references etc.).
Was amazed at the result when I tested it, very smooth!
Then I went to the location and they only had a laptop with VGA attached to the monitor.

Had to redo presentation in Excel in 15 minutes. Smh.

It really needs some way to either use standalone presentations or export to other formats!

Agreed, exporting to PPT or a 'Blend' solution through the browser would be nice.

I bought a tiny, HDMI projector from Brookstone, $300 US. Works well except for very bright light conditions.

    Agreed.

I always liked exporting my ppt as a PDF "just in case." Solves any possible issues around having to use someone else's laptop as a backup, and the potential of not having the right software or an incompatible older version.
