You do NOT want to drain your battery completely....

You can drain the battery no problem if you have the latest os. Even before you could. I use my devices almost to the point of then shutting down. Even my z10 has shut down when I was using it to the point of drain. If you are thinking that it needs to drain down to recharge then no it doesn't. Does it hurt the battery draining it, no. The battery does not keep a memory.
