    I updated to os 10.2.1.3253 a week before. Everything was going fine since the day before yesterday, suddenly my phone switches off even with the battery more than 50% remaining. I have to connect to the charger to restart the phone. It also switches off while I transfer anything using blue tooth. I have swiped the device, but still the problem continues. I have recalliberated the battery too by taking off the battery and putting it again after 15 minutes, but it didn't help out.

    Someone please help...

    Hello and welcome.
    Recalibrating the battery is not done by taking it out and putting it back in. It is done by DRAINING the battery to 0 and then charging it all the way up again before using.

    It also sounds like you might need to reload that OS.

    I tried getting battery to 0 and then charging all the way upto 100.
    Later I had a factory reset and reloaded my backup!
    All working fine now with me, hope that helps you too!

    How should I drain the battery to 0. It dies before 50-60%.

    I have swiped the device twice and reloaded the OS too.

    The battery might be defective. Maybe only half the cells are functional, so 50% is actually dead, bu the phone dkesn't realize that, and continues to show 50%
