So the Z10 has got it, the Q10 and now we are waiting on VZW to release the latest for the Z30. I have asked the company when and I get a canned response that there is a software update for the BB but nothing specific for my Z30's. Anyone get it yet? Cannot find via Link or OTA.

Really appalling that VZW has been able to announce an update then stage the update with no communication what where or when for the individual models. Very poor customer service on the part of BIG RED. Fail. That said every time I complain it magically appears within 24 hours so my fingers are crossed. 10.2.1.3253 vastly improved the battery life for my Q10 users and made that phone much more responsive.

Meh....loading the leak on my z30 was easy as falling in a pool. Everything restored just fine. Go ahead and just do it.

Does anyone have issues with dropped calls? I am hoping the update will fix it for me, I have gone thru 3 sim cards with no luck, I had this problem since day one. But I let the 15 day pass and now they want to send me the crappy refurbished phone! I refuse

Silence is deafening. Have gone back to my Q10 with the update as it is faster and wifi is much more stable. Hope the update for Z30 drops soon but no one at VZW can tell me when.

Am anxious for it as well. Last update was July 21 for q10. My personal guess is by the end of this month they'll push it out to z30 also. A complete guess though...

August 13th. First Z10 OTA was July 15th. Where the hell is VZW? I know they have done everything to try to forget that they sell Blackberries but are they punishing the Z30 contingent for a particular reason. This software update is a big deal for some of us as it makes the wifi much more stable and useable. Very, very unimpressed with Big Red.

I think 10.3.1 would be way off still given they will launch the Passport with 10.3, I definitely would appreciate an updated 10.2.1 from Big Red to tide me over until we get sweet, sweet 10.3.1. I really hope it's soon!!!

For the earpiece it's sometimes depends on the person if they talk softly. But I just got into using headphones so I don't often hold the phone to my ear anymore.

Here's another wrinkle: upgrading from a Z10 which has the latest OS to a Z30 which does not (subject of this thread) means Link will not "restore from backup" from the Z10 to the Z30. You have to go back to the last backup made when the Z10 was upgraded so that the OS levels are compatible. No biggie but it cost me some calendar entries I had to reenter manually.

This happens to every BlackBerry I've owned as it gets more updates. Either that, or the earpiece speaker crackles.

This happened with 10.2.1 on the Z30 as well. As I recall, Verizon ended up skipping the first edition of 10.2.1 for the Z30 and went straight to the newest version for the Z10 as well. I went from 10.2.1 on my Z10 to 10.2.0 on my Z30 when I first got it. That lasted about 5 days before I did a little easy research here on CB and loaded the latest version of 10.2.1 (which happened to be the next official version) on my Z30 using an autoloader. I'm no tech guy, and certainly not a computer guy, but I was not a difficult procedure. If there are really significant improvements with the latest update, I may just try it again.

Yep, but before I attempted the Z30 migration, I installed the latest Verizon release via an autoloader here on the forums.

**** verizon they hate blackberry my mother called them to order the z30 because she is sick of android poor security and spam. she has been through several android phones because of spam and viruses, Verizon told her blackberry was out of business she told them they are a bunch of morons and wanted the z30 or she's leaving...anyway it's on its way for her..
