Hold power button for a few seconds and then click "lock". Just as quick as assistive touch

Because pushing a button is very difficult uh?

You know, there's a recent study that suggests that the next generation after Millennial is/will be more ambitious, harder working, smarter, and so on.... Reading this thread, I'm inclined to agree.

I am amused by people who want an app for everything. They'll scroll through nine pages of apps, looking for the icon to lock their phone, but won't long press a physical button and tap the icon.

I actually agree with this one. I lock and unlock my phone a lot and the press-and-hold is annoying. On the old BBOS I pressed k. Now it's press-hold-wait-tap, every frigging time. Yes it's easy enough, but it's a step backwards, and very noticeable if you do it as often as I do.

Pressing k was possible for old BlackBerry because of the keyboard. Unless you're referring to a q10/q5, then there are no keys which means that shortcut wouldn't work

I'm referring to a Q10 in my case, sorry for not making that clear.

I know there is no built-in option to do it, but it would be great if someone could write some sort of headless app that would allow this OR better still if BlackBerry could allow you to optionally let a single tap of the top button lock as well as sleep - that would be ideal.

You think pushing a button is always better?
I'm using a full touch device and I think it better. I wont ask a question like this when I use Bold.

I am also amused. We mustn't scroll and look for the icon that I want. )

The basic argument is 2-3 seconds vs instant. I will always prefer instant, particularly when i've had it for years.
