Greetings,

I just had a new, scary problem with my Z10 running 10.2.1.2976. I get a lot of spam to my 'real' email address, where they spoof the FROM address. I just sent an email to myself, but ended up sending it to one of these spoofed spam addresses. How do I delete all these (there are pages of them), and make sure this never happens again?

Background:
a. I've received emails from addresses like "[email protected] <[email protected]>".
b. When I Compose an email, I put in myrealaddress... and click Select. It chooses the 'fakespam...' one, not my real Contact.
c. If I review the list as I type the email address (as shown in the image), there are 30 or so with the first 5 characters of my email, 3 with my exact email address.

How to I clear this list of 'suggested' contacts?

Usually those suggestions change based on the most recent emails sent and received.

That is weird though about those contacts

Delete all the messages that have those addresses in them and make sure they aren't in a folder that's synchronised with the device.

Do what I did. Contact BlackBerry through twitter and complain. I just did that a few days ago for the very same problem. The more that complain the better the odds they will take this problem serious.

I was told by BlackBerry they would take my concern under advisement. So do the same.
