BlackBerry 10.3 will bring the ability to keep the Active Frames screen even if nothing is open, which is a great way to showcase your wallpaper, but you don't need to wait for the official release nor load a leak to get the similar functionality!

You SIM card users may have seen the SIM toolkit icon, which will (in)conveniently come out of any folder you tuck it away in every reboot. This peculiar behavior may be a way to please carriers so their icon is always up and front, but you can use it to your advantage too! Simply put the SIM toolkit all alone on the last screen at the homescreen, like this:

The SIM toolkit has to be the only one on the screen, and the screen has to be the last (as you can see, I put it on the third, last, screen). I have never tried to see what happens when you put it in between. Then, all you have to do is reboot and voila!

You have a dedicated screen to show off your wallpaper. This will last until you try to rearrange app icons or restart the device without putting the SIM toolkit at the last screen, at which point the OS will realize it has a (not so) useless page and remove it.

Thanks for the tip but I always create a blank page by moving an icon. It doesn't matter which one. You don't have to load up any new app or anything. Just drag an icon to the last page and the phone jumps over to a blank page. Snap your ss and you are all set.
