Often I'll get this annoying error with my Q10, it isn't connecting to my WiFi properly, well, it shows it's connected but I cannot access anything. I've tried resetting the modem/router, deleting and adding the network, all possible combinations between mobile network and Wi-Fi but it just doesn't get fixed at all!

I took a few screenshots, any ideas? :/ this is very annoying and this problem has been here for at least 6 damn months!

I appreciate if someone could help me. I already tried changing some settings on the router by the way, that didn't work.

Also, every other phone and computer are able to connect.

It's not connected. Doesn't show the BlackBerry logo data symbol beside wifi. There will be two icons showing when you are connected.

Well yeah, that's kind of the point, to know why it's not connecting? It seems to be connected to the router but it just doesn't connect to the Internet :/

Well you say it shows it's connected. But it's not. Where's the BlackBerry data symbol? It's not there.

It's connected to the router, period. It's not connected to the Internet.

It worked out of nowhere now. I'm starting to think this is BlackBerry 's fault somehow.

It doesn't show its connected. If it did you would have the two symbols in the top right corner of the following screen shot.

    It's not BlackBerry's fault. It's user error.

Do you know the difference between being connected to the router and being connected to the Internet? I don't know if you're just trolling now... how can it be my error if it got solved by itself and the problem has been going on for months on different Internet connections? No matter what OS, either official or leak.

Yes. When your connected to the router you'll have one symbol. When your connected to the router and internet you'll have two. Simple.

On the contrary. In your original post you say and I quote "It shows I'm connected but I can't access anything".

That's because it doesn't actually show its connected in the screen shots you provided. If it did you would have the Wifi symbol and BlackBerry data symbol beside each other.

Your BlackBerry is ok, problem is from router to inet conexion,u have to call your internet provider if it happens again after restart it.
Something similar happens to me and the router works right with everything else...they just arrived and change the router...now its ok.

Try going into wifi settings, then saved then long press the wifi network that you are having problems with, "edit" and change "band type" from dual band to 2.4Ghz.

Good tip. Thanks I'll give it a try as I sometimes have the exact same problem. Other devices connect to the internet, mine does not. If I turn off Wi-Fi, my cell data plan takes over and everything works just fine.

^- - - - - - that is correct. And should that not be there, I found that turning the signal down to 54G works ok. This may, or may not solve your problems. Also, it may solve it only temporary.

If you search the forum, you will find a very distinctive thread on this (known) problem with BlackBerry 10 devices on WiFi, along with some other suggestions in resolving the problem.
