There is a "secret": Don't touch "your number"! Just put your finger on another point on the screen and move the "whole number layer" above your picture. Follow your number "with the eyes" and bring it to the intended spot!
    Enjoy!

Great advice, move the overlay to position your number, works flawlessly.

Indeed! This is a great feature, I'll take Picture Password over punching numbers any day! I don't understand why it's so hard for some people to use it

I tried it. Wanted to like it. But when walking or driving I failed more often than not.

That's the beauty of BlackBerry. If it is not for you, don't use it and use simple passwords or normal passwords. Let others who enjoy Picture Password enjoy it. I miss my PP, my company has disallow it [via BES] and it is pissing me off.

I myself tried it a few times and could not get the hang of it either. I did end up using simple password too for a while then I realised that I had nothing worth protecting as my phone is never more than 5 feet from me... NEVER...

That being said, I agree that the picture PW is not for everyone. BlackBerry took this into account and did provide many options. Kudos......

Lol I will say this, try putting in your numeric password while someone is watching and then try it using Picture Password and see which one is easier to figure out!

Although when setting it up it doesn't seem to give any indication of it, the trick is definitely to not touch the number you selected but anywhere else to move the selected number to the correct spot. Having your finger over your own number and trying to move it to the correct spot tends to be a lot more difficult and it seems that it would be fairly easy for an onlooker to see your password.

I make it more difficult: I'd chose the1, 2, 7, 4 or 5 because they have edges and not rounded, would chose a "dot" on the picture and then move the number so that an edge/corner just touches the dot! Very efficient!

I used it, had difficulty, got rid of it and then tried it a few weeks later and now it is simple and fast. Not sure what my problem was before. Too much coffee perhaps .

I have noticed that once in a while I can't find my number anywhere near my spot and end up at the edge and have to give up. But I have not had to try more than twice.

Way better than PIN or pattern passwords. iOS 7 has this silly philosophy of "let's light up the circle you just pressed so that there can be no doubt of which number you just entered".

I tried and wanted to use it but nearly locked a few times. Also I missed the one swipe up and instant phone access.
I hate the pressing a button and swipe on my company windows phone!
