    I have a Z30 and my wife has a Q10.

In her car we use the premium blackberry car charger with the secondary USB port. Bought it from the Crackberry accessories shop.

We've noticed when in her car, and the phones are plugged in, they will randomly shut off and go through a reboot cycle. This doesn't happen in my car with the same charger.

I'm posting this here because I find it hard to believe that this could be the cause. By the way our phones are right up to date.

    Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.3247

Has anyone had this happen before or heard of it happening associates with a possibly defective car charger?

Could it be something to do with the last OS software update?

    Any help will be appreciated.

Have the car tested to make sure the vehicles charging system is functioning correctly. It could be an alternator issue, that while it is keeping the vehicle charge system seemingly OK, it could be effecting the phones negatively.
Also have the DC port/Lighter socket checked to make sure the wiring harness connection to it is good. If the connection is loose or corroded, it will cause voltage spikes.

I had the same problem this morning with my Z30 : I was at the office and it decided to reboot itself.

    Very weird.

I don't have a phone charger at home so I cannot blame my car battery life is great since I switch from my previous Z10 to the Z30!

Mine reboots every once in a while when I'm using the browser, oddly mostly when I'm viewing the crackberry forums! lol

Try hard resetting or update to the latest OS... or on the final hope to fix this, use an autoloader to do so.. to know more about autoloader please do a research before doing anything!!

It happens to me sometimes if it doesn't slip from my hand to i.e. a table soft enough. It's so randomly I couldn't figure out how hard is has to drop and which area is effected.

May be that's why it happens to you in the car - since the constant shocks.
