To snooze an alarm when in bedside mode, simply tap anywhere on the (now white) screen. OK, got that.

But how to DISMISS an alarm without exiting bedside mode and without turning off that alarm so that future schedules still trigger?

    Please help if you can.

Turn snooze to off. Then when you hit anywhere on the screen when alarm sounds it will dismiss the alarm until the next scheduled occurrence.

Thanks but I need snooze - sometimes I want to snooze, sometimes dismiss.

Fully understand. Currently I don't think there is a way to do what you're looking to do.

Sorry for the non-constructive post but to get things done and #keepmoving you really need to disable snooze!

When you tap to silence the snooze an action bar comes up. A button on it will take you to a screen where you can cancel the alarm. Not easy, but you can't do it by accident in your sleep.

Doing this not only dismisses the current alarm but turns it off/cancels it completely. I want it dismissed but to stay on so that it triggers at the next occurrence.

When in Bedside and alarm goes off: Tap to snooze, swipe up from bottom side bezel (whatever that maybe depending on orientation) to dismiss.

Tap the screen. Bar comes up at the bottom. Turn alarm slider to off then on again.

When in bedside mode to dismiss an alarm with snooze:
    1) tap screen anywhere when alarm goes off.
    2) at bottom of screen tap on alarm showing and hit dismiss (circle with line through it)
    3) try not to fall back asleep....lol

Just swipe right back down then (ie swipe up to dismiss alarm, and swipe right back down to reactivate bedside....all in one motion). The little tab (to pull the little blind down to activate BS mode) stays on for a bit after the swipe up.

No it doesn't. This is what I do every morning when I wake up and don't want alerts or phone calls to wake up my spouse while I'm in the shower.

    Try this.

Tip: When your alarm goes off in bedside mode, you can tap anywhere on the screen to snooze the alarm. To turn off the alarm in bedside mode, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

Note: swipe up while alarm is going off. Don't tap to snooze then try to swipe up.

Edit: just tested it. It exits bedside mode. For now you'll have to swipe up and swipe back down.

Another option which is what I do. Tap to snooze then toggle the alarm off then on.

Tap the screen to silence the alarm then, perhaps later, tap the screen to bring up the Alarm Options card and press cancel snooze:

    Snooze canceled, press back:

That ladies and gentlemen is how we do that. Note the alarm is still active ready for the next morning.

This only works if there are no other alarms set.

Actually you're right, this works. It's rather cumbersome, especially when other alarms are set, but it does work. Thanks.

Yes, leaving Bedside Mode does cancel the alarm, but the OP specified doing it without leaving Bedside Mode.

Someone even suggested swiping up ( probably assumed you knew you could go back in ) and you dismissed it.

Sometimes life is like that. We get so focused on doing things the way we want that we dismiss a better solution when it is presented.

How about if you swipe up to dismiss the alarm, but instead of letting the shade go all the way up, you hold your finger on the screen and pull it back down? I'm sure I've done that to myself before!

    Hi guys,

I wish to comment on this thread as I noticed a different behaviour if the phone is plugged or not.

So, of my phone is in bedside mode and plugged, when the alarm rings, I can touch anywhere on the screen and it will automatically snooze.
==> in this case, I cannot switch the alarm off by touching the screen. I must go into the options and leave bedside mode to turn of the ring (which is what we want)

If my phone is in bedside mode but not plugged to the wall, then when it rings I have a box on the screen with two choices : snooze or dismiss. There it is easy to hit "dismiss" and fall back asleep.

So, the summary is : if you don't want to dismiss the morning alarm "by mistake", use bedside mode with your phone plugged!
