Hey there! I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, just saying in advance.

I'm travelling to New York City in a week and wanted a offline maps application. I know that Navfree is also available, but for some strange reason it always gets my location wrong, so it becomes completely useless if you want directions to somewhere.

So I downloaded Google maps, knowing that you can download maps for offline usage, which is what I basically want. But it's asking me to log in to my Google account. That's perfectly okay, as I have one, but I just click on add account and nothing happens. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance! And sorry if it's posted in the wrong category!!

Yes it won't work. Google Maps requires Google Services which isn't available on Android sadly. Try TripAdvisor I know with the new version you can download offline maps, maybe that will be of assistance to you?

Need to download from Snap appstore.

WAIT!!!! What????? Someone is having problems with Google Maps???? Ohhhh Noooooo! Tell me it's not so!!!! I thought Google Maps was the best thing since sliced bread!!!!

The only thing wrong with it is that the location I'm at is not recognised by the application. When I'm at home in Belgium, it thinks I'm in the middle of the Pacific ocean.
