    I bought a Q5 for the wife, we share the same email address, I setup her new phone using the email address common to use (my Z10 is already setup on that address) and password.
    The Problem I'm having comes when trying to use BBM
    How can I make the Q5 independent, I have another email address but if I attempt to set that up as my new BB id I'm asked to delete all data... crap
    . What can I do to resolve this issue, her phone has no data other that that which is associated with my Z10.

    you have to set her up with a new blackberry id and her own email, then your bbm will work,

    I have attempted just that and the result is that my Z is changed... i need to somehow kill the Q5 and reinstate the setup but how is that done.

    you might have to wipe it now that you set it up, it will be like new after the wipe, set it up with the wifes info then.

    Yes, it could take awhile don't do anything it will finish and turn off, make sure you plug it in do the battery does not die.
