This is really frustrating I haven't used bbm for last 8 hours and it shows this, my Z10 slt 100-1 was on stand by mode

By the way running the latest OS 10.2.1.2977 and from this update android apps stop working on 2G or 3G they only runs on Wifi I have wiped out my device but no solution

Try to switch to the stl100-3 its the best Z10 I think. Too many problems with the original Z10 (STL100-1)

I use the STL100-3 for the 2 months and it works perfectly. 99 % of the time anyways.

So u used it 8 hrs and there's two hrs left = 10 hrs.. that's not bad. It shows that 37% was used for bbm so either you used bbm a lot or that's what's causing the battery issue

Also it depends on your location if you have bad signal so your phones searching for towers, if you have wifi one or NFC ect

No wifi and NFC both were turned off and I hadn't used bbm for last 8 hours don't get me wrong bbm is the best IM but this type of battery drain when you are not using it that is frustrating

OP, did you try a hard reset? My friend had BBM drain like that. Hard reset did the trick

Bit of a known issue with the STL100-1's sadly. Often times an OS reload fixes it but you need to ensure you're not restoring the problem as well through a back-up. Gotta go into it clean.

No with hard reset it only works normal for 2-3 days only then this issue happen

There won't be a fix for it anytime soon. If you're gonna switch diff Z10. Then try switching to the Z30 instead.

Can't you guys demand a new phone from BlackBerry? I mean... it's not your fault that that particular device develops such a problem running their official OS.

But I live on a little Island in the Caribbean and getting that phone to and back from BlackBerry would be such a pain. The STL100-1 really is an underdog. Glad they didn't use this strategy on none of their other devices

Lol it's not the OS. It's either the version you have, the model phone you have or unfortunately your phone is faulty.

No need to change OS for that lol.

If you want spectacular battery life, I hear the Z30 is a monster.

After reading your suggestion I have disconnected all the (nearly 20) apps to bbm now let's see if that works or not

Yes - this right here. I have a Z30, so when I couldn't get through a day without charging it I knew something was up. After two days of that I looked at the device monitor and BBM had used 104% of the battery (it was over 48 hours which is how I think THAT was possible). Hopped onto CB and no one was talking about it. Did a hard reset and everything went back to normal.

Same here Op. I'm a student, so can't buy z30 and am having every imaginable issue with the battery. And I too have stl100-1. Bro, service center is the place for you. For me as well.

Try using a leak OS. That helped my Z10 at the time but only gave me like an extra 2 hours out of it. I did have huge battery problems with my Z10 during stand by mode and it was really annoying. But one Leak OS I installed really helped it.

Well said. I hear lot of people shouting get a Z30. This is not going to help the users already own a Z10. Not everyone can afford the luxury to switch phones every year! The real problem is BB has already let down Z10 users! I am tired of Z10 complaint threads too.
