My Z10 seems to be having issues with the battery. I left my house for the train and 10 minutes later I lost10%. Last night was 40% in two hours. I am using every option to conserve the battery. Could it be the Z10 itself is the problem? I have a Q10 and will just switch but this is disappointing.

Maybe you are facing some OS issues... try and reload the OS and it should be fine.... I'm experiencing great battery life...

And Btw... you're in the Z10 forums

Use Device Monitor to see what is using the Battery the most and also look at the CPU section and see what apps are active. Some Android Apps don't really close sometimes....

Do you have a lot of Accounts (Email, Social)? Do you have Box, OneDrive, Dropbox or other Cloud apps running? Have you rebooted? If the problem just started - have you installed a new account or app? Just used an App for the first time? Updated your OS?

1% per minute. That's only 100 minutes. You can sometimes get 2 hours out of a battery. Best to carry 12 batteries or a real long extension cord. Maybe buy your own nuclear power plant.

This darn battery drain was related to PIM app on my Z10. I found out the BB Link is trying to sync, even though I did not set it to sync.

Also, sometime native Twitter app made my Z10 heat up and drain, I stopped using this, got Blaq and last night, my Z10 got hot and draining battery again.

I seriously hope this is gonna get solved in 10.3

When I installed the latest OTA update (10.2.1.2977, unlocked on TMobile) my battery life was terrible. I decided to do a clean install using Link and now my battery life is a lot better.

I have found that you have 30 minutes left of power when the phone reads 0% battery life. Consider this when judging the power consumption if the phone.

Mine is not even showing the remaining time for the battery. I have bought Z100 unlocked 2 days ago with STL-100. I am a very light user and yet its hardly lasting a day. Well i have no complaints however i would like to last it for 2 days especially when i hardly touch it almostBlackBerry Z10 Battery Drain-img_20140717_235402.png

10 hours a day. I have turned off all including wifi. At night its on bedside mode. Brightness is almost at the lowest. No vibration. Already on the 10.2.1.2977. Any ideas, tips, facts, reality checks?

The idiots at SoCal Edison are planning to close the San Onofre nuclear plant. Perhaps, the OP can get a deal on that plan. Of course, such a deal would still entail sinking a few billion into the plant to fix the mess SoCal Edison made of it.

Mine takes hours to charge. You have to remove the battery and restart the phone to get an accurate reading. Then it would just stop charging st some point. Showing not charging even though it is not full. I've done a phone wipe with bb Link. No joy yet.
Dunno what to do. Apparently the stl-100-1 is just bad.

Sigh. I don't know what to do. My z10 drain is draining me. Two batteries in 12 hours!!! I couldn't even convince my long time BlackBerry friend to stay with BlackBerry because the battery is so crap. He went for a Sony xperia compact. Can't defend BlackBerry anymore as i am getting frustrated as well. Had the phone since March last year.

I let my battery go down to almost zero and then reloaded a back up. Charged the phone and it is working fine. The battery life is still not great but tolerable.

I have seen so many complaints about battery drain on the z10 and everyone are giving their opinions about how to fix the issue through the cell phone. Is it possible that there were a lot of bad batteries made for the Z10? Perhaps it is best to buy a 20 hour battery for $20. Worst case scenario is the the new big battery only lasts you 8 hours if it really is your phone at fault. At least you will know for sure and if it is the phone then you will have the ability to fix the issue and have a truly powerful battery.

    Stop the frustration.

    That's not easy to say.
On "normal use". I got around between 3-6 percent a hour. (which is pretty normal for me).

But there are some days when the battery lasts longer and shorter.

When I surf the web a lot, I can empty my battery within 4hours.

And when I turn it to "2G only". And havinf it most time in standby - I also reached 2days on a single charge.
