Guys I am using BlackBerry z10, I purchased it on 25 April 2014, after 7 days it battery is not working as it before, when battery level come to 70 % then phone automatically switch off, when I charge then it's begin to charge from 70 %, so I went service centre, there they told me the battery has finished so it would be replaced, they replaced it and it took 26 days..
After 26 days when I got new battery..I was happy, but placing new battery and after seven days again the same problem occurs...
Now the battery only works for 2 hours...
    I using 10.2.0.3247 os now..
Can any one help me what to do..?

If it's been on more than one OS, it's got to be a hardware problem. You've swapped the battery, so that leaves the phone (probable) or the charger as potential culprits. Try different charger, different cable, different outlets to rule the charger out. Next contact your carrier for warranty replacement of device.

First check the APp manager for any apps eating up the battery.
Second try to recall if you changed any settings/ installed apps that could be causing the trouble.

Finally, a Hard reset should solve the issue.

That's a good life per charge if you're not crippling your phone. With my Z10 I carry 4 batteries extra with me.

Basically I just used to plug my Z10 into the wall and watch brownouts happen and nuclear power plants run dry because the thing sucks the power.

Nothing wrong with your phone. It's just the way it is if you actually use your phone. I get 8-10 hours max on the Z30 despite people saying it lasts 2-4 days.

Don't believe anyone telling you they go all day on a Z10. If you use it as a paperweight you might go all day. But 2 hours is max of you're using the phone the way it was I tended to be used.

I would bet the OP is using an STL 100-1. It's known to have battery calibration issue. I got tired of all the issues surrounding that device, and i have since moved on to a Z30.

Battery life in z10 sucks donkey balls. Sad but true. I struggle to get through a whole day with a full charge. The battery just drains away...

Curious... if you have the availability and time, can you turn and leave airplane mode on the device for a day.

Sure it stops the phone from sending or receiving, but I want to see if it's the phone or if there is an application that is sending or constantly on,draining the battery life.

This will help deduce the culprit a bit more.
If the battery is good after a day of being on airplane mode, it's not the phone; look at your apps that are on the phone. Maybe try removing some and seeing if those make a difference.

If airplane mode made no difference, then it's a phone issue. There is definitely something wrong and contact BlackBerry.

You need to go to ebay and get the 4500 mAh battery. Will last you way beyond a long work day.

For recalibration, just charge your phone with USB connected to your laptop. It'll recalibrate itself.

I consistently got this much usage out of my Z10 (hours wise) with the original battery. Be careful for re-stickered original batteries being sold as something else...

This battery is not restickered as it is very thick and weighs more than the original. This is why they sell the plastic backing with it. You will have a thicker and heavier phone but at least these battery problems should subside to a point that you will actually enjoy your phone rather than being angry about it.

Yeah, I saw your post about it in another thread after I commented here....seems like with almost three times the size, you would get more battery than that though...unless you're some kind of mega power user. lol

I used to have serious battery drain issues but updating to the latest OS and being wise about apps has helped a bit. With moderate usage (200 emails, 50 calls, continuous WhatsApp, Skype), I get close to a full working day. I still carry the battery bundle with me and pop the second battery in every day. I have a 4-port USB charger so I charge both phone and battery bundle at night, so it doesn't really bother me.

Issue with my BlackBerry Z10 appears pretty weird!!! After charging the phone for 1 hour it reaches to 100% from 0% and within 20 mins its back to 0%. But the phone doesn't get shut down even after 15 hours using whats app, calls, emails and music. BBVE shows battery health in yellow. This makes it more confusing to identify the issue. Please help me out with this !!!

I'm also pretty sure that OP's phone is an STL 100-1. The latest update seems to contain much more bug. And if you guys notice, much more complaints about STL 100-1 battery has come up since our latest update. I used Z10 earlier, and after the last update I can't stand the battery anymore. It seems to drain much more quickly than before. Now I've moved to STA 100-2. The best decision that I've made.

My Monthly Usage is 22000 seconds as per my phone bill (outgoing). put 22000 seconds for incoming. 2-3 hours of max game time a month and 30 mins of internet.

My phone lasts me 2 days easily.

My STL100-1 also drains a s***load of battery, and the culprit? System and standby. Wtf.

I've posted pictures of my "calibrated" stats on another thread but have since restarted the phone since it lagged, therefore losing the "calibration".

    Sent from my BlackBerry smartphone.

You went a little overboard there. The Z10 battery is crap indeed when you use the phone as you're supposed to, but it should still net you 5-6 hours depending on the abuse. The only times it shut down on me under 4 hours was whilst playing high graphic games non-stop. I can stream YouTube non-stop for 5 to 6 hours. If I only used it for communications, a little browsing and the usual Crackberry addiction, I could go up to 8 hours at the max.

I have yet to put my Z30 up to the abuse my Z10 has endured. But I have the phone for almost 3 days and it's in the charger now for the second time and I haven't even once let it charge to 100%. And that includes setting up all accounts and settings and downloading apps. It will be put to the test this weekend to see how far it'll actually go.

It also depends on how many Android apps run in the background and how many of them are in use, because they drain the battery much more. There's a lot of room for improvement there. But a long story short. If you can't get more than 2 hours out of the Z10, then replacement is in order, because that's not right.

I do agree with you on people saying they go 3 days on a Z30. I've been checking device monitor a lot to compare to all the screenshots I've seen. The only time it says more than 1 day left is when the phone has been idle for an hour. It's not ment to be used as a paperweight. But from my experience thus far, it should be able to get you up to 20 hours when used for communications and browsing. Taken that the person also lives in the real world. If used as a laptop, meaning it's constantly in use, then I'd say it'll last the 8 to 10 hours you mentioned. But as I said, I'll be doing my own abusive testing this weekend to see how far it actually goes. Gotta say I really love the phone already more than the Z10.

    Help you do what exactly?

This is a 3 year old thread. Are you having same issue exactly as OP? If not, please start a new thread, give it a relevant title, and post your specific situation in the first post.

    Thanks.
