    I have an unlocked Z30 STA100-5 which is compatible with T-Mobile US network. Not sure as to why my Z30 doesn't have HD voice. I had a Z10 and Q10 previously through T-Mobile and both devices had HD voice. The Z30 is listed as a device that supports HD Voice - Adaptive Multi-Rate Wideband (AMR-WB) but it seems like my phone is not using it. Could it be my Z30 or T-Mobile itself? Should I call T-Mobile customer service and report the issue?

    I've never seen HD Voice on mine although I did have it on my Z10. I believe the reason's because the Z30 isn't officially carried by T-Mobile.

    It just sounds different. It sounds more loud and clear...crystal clear. Whenever I spoke to my sister on her T-Mobile GS3, it sounded like she was standing right next to me.

    I think it's because t-mobile doesn't officially support the z30. That's the case with wifi calling on t-mobile as well.

    I think it only works when you call other T-Mobile customers. For example: My mom has T-Mobile and everyone else I know doesn't. She's the only person my LG phone notifies me that "HD VOICE" is enabled when in the call via a little yellow box icon. I have yet to use my new Z30 (still boxed) but I'll test it and see what results I hear. And I'm not using an official T-Mobile branded LG phone but rather a MetroPCS (GSM) phone. But also T-Mobile owns MetoPCS so that point might be moot.

    Does the BlackBerry 10 OS have a similar icon or notification to it's users of HD voice being active?
