1. Thanks for fixing the brightness and making it brighter [if you did that because that is what it seems like] and thank you for adding the saturation/hue control?

but the thing now is that it is too bright i mean tooooo bright
so either allow us to make it dimmer than it is because at night my eye aches looking at the screen


please allow an app to control the screen brightness outside the actual app

it is too bright i might need to get a coloured screen protector :O

This is unfortunately an ongoing issue. The screen's "ambient light sensor" is the culprit. (wish I could micro-smash that thing?)

They just need to bring back the same brightness controls that the PlayBook had.

When it comes to this inability for the user to disable the automatic brightness. I have to side with the market. In that BlackBerry wholeheartedly deserves to be in the sorry state they are.

Android, iOS and Windows Phone all give the user the ability to disable the automatic brightness. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be different. Get with the program BlackBerry!

I don't think I have ever even noticed this issue. I just went in to settings and adjusted the brightness to where I wanted it and it stays there.

The not enougth brighness in sunlight is just because the OLED isn't strong enought. OLED are prone to have less bisibility in direct sunlight. If you pick a top of the line samsung galaxy, they have the same OLED but are brighter, but even those strugle a bit in sunlight compared to LCD screens.

That's the drawback of OLED, they are inferior in bright environments, but in dim light, I think OLED produce much better pictures due to true blacks where LCD strugles with light leaks

To bright?
It's to dark. When I watch a video the brightness could be higher. Some videos are to dark. On my PC they are good, but on the Z30.

When I start the BlackBerry, the brightness is good, but after the unlock it goes down by the half. That's not good.

You can try reader mode inside the browser, just hit R.
Also some 3rd party browsers like Evolution Browser have some sort of night mode, which works ok.

I agree though, one of the good sides after switching Q10 -> Classic was the screen which could be dimmed lower.
