Please help if you know. I'm switching carriers and would like to know to decide which plan to choose because I do enjoy hearing comedy through the iHR app. Thanks .

60 hours per month will use approximately 3.52 GB or 3600MB per month over3G/ 4G net work. This is streaming just music. That's with Verizon AT&T equivalent would be 1.80 GB for the same period of time, contact your service provider for an estimate.

Regular Video streaming with AT&T for 50 hours is 7.80 GB per month , HD for same time would be 15.30 GB per month .with Verizon ,the 60 hour period will consume. 60 GB per month. Really you should contact your service provider to get a better idea.

Not bad. I probably only stream about an hour a day max of comedy so that's good. Plus, I can't always just download the comedians full show and boom, only stream to find new material. Thanks!

So...why is it that with Verizon 60 hours of music consumes twice the amount of data as with AT&T

TMO let's you stream iheart as much as you want without it counting against your data. Same with Pandora.

Yeah, but say you pick the $50 plan, after taxes you end up paying $60. I'd rather pay $60 flat on Metro and get unlimited 4G or pay $50 flat and get 2.5GB of 4G.

It depends on bitrate. A 4-minute song at 192kbps is bigger than 128kbps and therefore takes up more space due to better quality, hence will impact one's data rate accordingly. The difference in how they're estimating data consumption can be found here - Verizon may be estimating people are streaming higher quality music, AT&T is possibly estimating on the low side.

Get tmobile they don't count music from steaming sites into your data plan.

Been rocking spotify at extreme quality without any complaints.

I'm going to go with Metro. $60 flat for unlimited 4G LTE and with an extra $5 you get unlimited $5 mobile hotspot!

Find out iHeart's audio quality and that will tell you how much data it uses.

So your hour's worth of comedy is a different size depending on the audo quality it was encoded at:

    • 64kbps = 26.8MB
    • 94kbps = 41.3MB
    • 128kbps = 56.25MB
    • 192kbps = 84.4MB
    • 320kpbs = 140.6MB

And therefore the better the quality, the more data downloaded.
