Yes, but the CDMA has to be Verizon (as in, the only CDMA network you can make a CDMA-GSM Q10 work on would be Verizon.) GSM can be any carrier.

Q10 Verizon has 1 slot only
it can be use for GSM or CDMA
if u dont want to use GSM, u can replace with CDMA sim card, and vice versa.

But you'll only get 2G with the ATT Sim in.

The Verizon Q10 gets 4G on Tmobile and ATT as does the Verizon Z30.
Just pop in the Sim card and adjust the network settings.

CDMA SIM card? Oh, yeah? Never seen one of those. I believe CDMA is built into the phone, the SIM slot if for GSM only.

If he's still talking about Verizon in that sentence, he may be talking about the LTE SIM. Verizon uses SIMs for LTE in most devices now.

The LTE sim on Verizon only allows access to Verizon's LTE network not their CDMA network. CDMA requires activation by the specific carrier, recall all bbos devices, eq 9930 9630 9650 9850 8330, had to be activated by Verizon or Sprint before use

Both T-Mobile and AT&T name their HSPA+ bands as 4G, which is not the same as 4G LTE. Verizon's main LTE band is 13 (700 MHz) which neither the T-Mobile Q10 nor the AT&T Q10 support; and Verizon's AWS (XLTE) band 4 (1700 MHz) is supported by both the T-Mobile Q10 and the AT&T Q10, but this depends in what market you are in as Verizon hasn't fully deployed AWS nationwide yet.

You can check what markets Verizon has deployed XLTE in (300+ now) here:

Not for LTE devices. Since Verizon started offering LTE devices and deployed LTE all LTE devices provision phone numbers from the LTE sim. For all intents and purposes, it works exactly like any GSM carrier now where you can swap your LTE sim from one Verizon LTE capable phone to another and instantly provision your phone number OTA without calling to activate the device. However, this of course still requires that both devices be Verizon CDMA and Verizon LTE capable phones.

The devices you mentioned are not LTE capable phones, only 3G (CDMA only) and is why they are subject to the old carrier activation.
