This is just a news bump.

Indonesian carriers seems now doing it right. Few months ago some carriers tried to offer contract plans for smart phones here but failed to reach the people. The reason was too obvious. Because the subscription fee was too expensive lol. But it seems Indosat now is ready to make more down to earth offers.

Indosat now offers smartphones for reasonable prices. Some are even free. They also offer a Q10 but I just want to point out their offer on Z3. They are offering it only Rp 759.000 (around $70-$75) if I choose a Rp 100.000/month plan (About $10/month) for 2years contract.

When you guys in US & Europe now want to buy phones upfront with no contract, Indonesians now will have their hands tied by contracts

Were'nt the previous plans about Rp 225.000/month? If so, it sounds like they're getting serious about moving devices at this new rate.
