I am trying to move a Word file (Docs To Go file) to the homepage of my Z30 and can't find a way to do it if it can be done at all.

    Help anyone?

It sounds like you want to put a shortcut on your home screen for a document. You need an app for that - there's no way to do it in the OS. There are several in BBWorld that will do it for you -- search for 'shortcut' for a bunch of paid and free options.
