Hello: I have the Z-10, which has worked very well for over a year now, until last week when the BB Z-10 text app started freezing up. I restarted and did multiple battery pulls which would temporarily solve the problem, but it would always return. I finally connected up with BB Link (Windows) and did a "restore" which loaded 10.2.1.2122. Now it keeps asking me to enter "Input passkey enter numeric passkey for miscellaneous." Any idea what this is and how I get rid of it? I searched the threads and didn't find anything helpful.

Not sure what it is but it would seem your restore possibly uhh, restored an app that was possibly using a password or keystore and that didn't transfer with the restore. Only thing I can think of is wipe it again and see if a restore causes it to happen again. Just might have been an issue with the restore itself.

Mine has been doing this all day, I have no idea why and it's driving me insane. I'm on a work trip, no pc access.

Every 10 seconds that screen appears. You can enter any number and it goes away or hit reject, doesn't matter.

My z10 was doing it but I found out it was just because my truck was trying to connect after I had associated my phone with a different vehicle

I just resolved this issue on my Z10 after doing a wipe and restore - it was my Ooma Telo phone system trying to reestablish Bluetooth connectivity. I entered the usual 0000 passcode and it seems happy now.

Is it a folder that is password protected? Do you hide files?
