Hi. Recently I've noticed that my BlackBerry Z10 is heating up way too much (as in the title!). Even when I turn it on after a about a 1 hour of medium usage is gets warm really quickly!

Any suggestions on what to do?

Turn off LTE, check device monitor to see if apps are robbing battery, turn down screen brightness... etc. I've had this issue on multiple z10s now. The only thing that really fixed it for me was totally disassembling the device and applying thermal paste appropriately. In my opinion there was / is a pretty large manufacturing defect with the z10 causing this issue with poor thermal paste application as we have dozens of these threads about z10 heat issues already.

I put the screen brightness to 50%. Now it is really cool and it's normal. However I don't want the screen brightness at 50% for ever. What is LTE?

These are my Device Monitor stats. Apps aren't really hogging battery. Its just the screen, buy I have the screen at lowest brightness now.

Check the cpu tab in Device Monitor and see if anything seems to be running too much.

If you are playing cpu and graphics intense things, then expect the heat.
If not, what is a rough "screen on " usage like?

Katiepea, where did you apply thermal paste to the interior of the phone? I'd like to do this, but I'm not sure where it should go?
