    Please does replying WhatsApp messages through quick replies indicate you as being 'online'?

    Don't want to be feeling smart evading some people while my status actually says I'm online. Many thanks

    I would think it does.

    I personally don't really put much weight on the whole "Last Seen" thing. It's never seemed very dependable to me. I guess I assume others probably don't care either.

    It does not. Nor does it update your last seen time.

    Additionally, marking as read does not update it either. (on the hub)
