I might be trying to do the impossible but confirmation would be appreciated.
I,m wanting to connect my Z10 to a spare 19" pc monitor so I can google / youtube to a bigger screen, I have tried micro hdmi to vga converter and micro hdmi to hdmi then hdmi to vga connector and monitor just says no vga signal being received.
if its not possible its bloody annoying.
help / confirmation would be great
    cheers

i don't think this will work with a VGA screen, is it a CRT, LCD, LED?? if its a CRT the resolution may not be supported by it...

Have you checked your settings and will it output to a regular HDMI set? If your monitor has a DVI input, they have HDMI to DVI adaptors.

Hdmi to dvi= same digital signal so that works. Hdmi to VGA works only when the digital signal is converted to analog which a cable alone won't do. You need a special little converted and then it works. I use them all the time for old projectors etc.. but seeing that u have a dvi connection then getting the Hdmi cable to dvi is the cheaper way plus u can get the audio from the headphone socket as dvi doesn't have The audio capability. (some converters also have an headphone socket to extract the audio from the Hdmi as well)
